Saint Robert Bellarmin - 80 MW

  

The Saint- Robert Bellarmin wind project is located south of the municipality of the same name in the Granit RCM, halfway between the towns of Lac-Mégantic and Saint-Georges de Beauce.

Scheduled to start operating on summer 2012, the project will consist of 40 turbines of 2 MW each and will require an investment of nearly $ 200 million, 60% of which will be with Quebec businesses.

  Liaison Committee  

The Liaison Committee contributes to the development of the wind farm of Saint-Robert Bellarmin, in respect of the host. Composed of municipal representatives and groups interested in the project, the Liaison Committee ensures that all interested parties in the community are represented in the development of the wind farm.

Environmental Impact Studies

EDF EN Canada is committed to continuing communication with the public regarding the project's progression. To this end, several steps have been taken to ensure good communication including; the establishment of the Liaison office in Saint-Robert Bellarmin, and the publication of the quarterly newsletter, The Éole-Lien.

In Quebec, each wind project of 10 MW and above (Regulation on Assessment and review of impacts on the environment, art. 2.1) is subject to the environmental impacts evaluation process and review under Articles 31.1 and must follow the Act Environmental Quality Act (RSQ, c. Q-2) and be authorized by a government decree.
